We here at the Christian Indie Author Network understand the freedom that we have in Christ. However because of the Leaderships own personal convictions we ask that all books adhere to our Content Standards. We maintain these standards and reserve the right to not post anything from a book that violates those standards. Below are those standards. Again you don't have to follow these standards, and ultimately, everyone must answer to God for the tales they write, but these are what we feel God has called us to stand behind.
In order for a book to be promoted by this group, there should be no premarital sex unless it is part of the struggle the protagonists face. There should be no explicit sex. We try to keep sensuality and sexual desire to a minimum and behind closed doors. Showing sexual tension or a good sexual relationship between married couples is fine and welcome, as long as it isn't graphic.
No one shall take the Lord's name in vain in any form (Jesus, Christ, God, Lord, etc.). That means no using it as part of a swear word, insult or exclamation of disgust, frustration or other negative expression.
Violence should be kept to a PG rating. We prefer you don't kill characters needlessly as in horror novels, and if you feel the need to beat them, please don't be too graphic in your description. Thanks for your understanding.
