Are you ready to take your manuscript a step further? (Would you have said "farther?" There's a difference!) Even a great writer needs an extra pair of eyes to catch those pesky word pairs and comma splices, and well-laid plots can always go awry. As a former university writing tutor and current graduate student in a writing-intensive field, I will work to polish your manuscript so that it carries your readers into your world. The writer does not own a monopoly in the creative process of the story--the readers must be able to see your tale come to life! This can only happen when the narrative establishes clear communication with the audience.
Why I’m here: I’m here to make sure that your writing looks good.
That’s it. After all, you’re the one with the amazing ideas and the passion to communicate them. I simply want to support you by polishing your words, sharpening your grammar, and refining your structure so that your writing is clear and powerful. In short, so it does what you want it to do.
Mary Campagna Findley
I am a "last look" proofreader, not a story editor. I use traditional rules to check spelling, grammar, punctuation and verb tenses. I do my work in Microsoft Word with Track changes turned on so you can see everything I do. I also make suggestions on sentence structure, continuity, and word choice. I charge $10 per 10,000 words.
